Timeline Installation

The Melbourne Meat Preservation Company was formed and run between 1867-1886. This timeline installation consists information about the Meatworks in West Melbourne and most of the key events or highlights which had taken place during the life span of this industry at Maribyrnong.
 
My design approach for this installation is to create a warm inviting look and feel. Despite the many global stigmas existing behind the meat industry and slaughter houses, the challenge was to create a friendly and approaching installation which talks more about the history of the Industry in Melbourne and its reach on a global scale.

Designing a supporting print publication for the installation. This publication essentially contains all the information about the meatworks and meat preservation industry present in the installation. To make the audience’s visit worthwhile and memorable, a publication detailing the rich history of Melbourne’s meatworks and meat preservation industry will be handed out to visitors in the form of a bound memory.
