Experimental Alphabet Set / Font

Vars is an experimental alphabet set. First developed by drawing inspiration from an underrepresented designer. These experimental alphabets were then developed into a complete alphabet set with 256 unique letters forms structured by combining two symbol sets in various combinations. The rationale behind this alphabet set is to acknowledge that these are ‘experimental’ and have to be experienced rather than being contemplated to make any sense of it. It was later expanded and made into a font (Vars). Vars is neither an alternative nor a translation to the latin alphabets or any other language. This alphabet has no said meanings or translations. This is an experimental alphabet set deriving its own meaning subject to an individual's interpretations. The viewer is encouraged to draft their own understanding of it.

Vars is a contemporary font which can be used in various contexts; abstract & experimental. This book is a typographic specimen of Vars, showcasing the usage of it in various applications such as fashion, design, illustrations and also in the real world.
